Escape Room Located in Third Best Place to Live in America

Cascades Waterfall Monterey Park

Monterey Park, just 8 miles East of downtown Los Angeles, is rated as the 3rd best place to live in the entire United States (Money Magazine). Exit Game, Southern California's biggest and most high-tech escape room, is also located in Monterey Park. Coincidence?

Maybe.

But, if you do happen to live in “MPK,” as locals call it, or are visiting here, Exit Game is currently listed as the number 1 thing to do in the city (Trip Advisor).

We often just tell people that our escape room is located in “Los Angeles” because we’re only a few miles from downtown. A lot of people still don’t know where Monterey Park is. So today, we’d like to take a moment to tell you about this great little city. It all starts with convenience and easy access to public transportation.

Even if you don’t have a car, that shouldn’t stop you from trying one of our escape rooms! The LA Metro bus lines 70 & 770 (rapid) both stop right in front of our store at the intersection of Garvey Ave. and Atlantic Blvd. The 70 and 770 routes run East-to-West to downtown Los Angeles’ Union Station, and sometimes can be faster than driving through rush hour. The 260 and 760 bus route runs North and South up and down Atlantic Blvd., and also stops right in front of our store-- these routes are convenient for anyone who lives in Pasadena or even as far South as Artesia. The Metro light-rail “gold line” has a stop near ELAC (East Los Angeles College) which is a couple miles away-- then you can hop onto the 260 to get here.

Some of the best Chinese, Taiwanese, and Mexican restaurants are located in Monterey Park. If you’re looking for something to eat after your escape game, there are great choices nearby within walking distance. Daikokuya (Ramen) and Honey Pig (AYCE Korean BBQ) are inside our building. Half ‘n Half is a super popular place to get boba (tapioca) milk tea and right next door. Really though, there are way too many eateries to name. You'll just have to make multiple trips here!

The world’s best dim sum can be found in Monterey Park too: Empress Harbor, Ocean Star, or Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum-- all within walking distance.

If you’re here on a Friday, you’ve got to check out the farmer’s market. It’s open from 4:00pm to 8:00pm each and every Friday, rain or shine! (318 S. Ramona Ave.)

Come play an escape room and see why Monterey Park is one of the best places to live!

Do we really think that Money Magazine considered our escape room when making their "best places to live in America" list? Probably not. Who knows how these lists really get made? But hey, we still chose a spectacular location didn't we?
